Laughter and tears are both
responses to
frustration and exhaustion. I myself
prefer to laugh, since there is less
cleaning do to do afterward.
Kurt Vonnegut

The
path to realizing our dreams is never smooth.
Invariably we encounter
bends, turns, detours, and roadblocks.
Sometimes our frustrations make us
want to give up the journey, but frustrations signal the need
to pause for
introspection and redirection. Frustrations are promptings from God to
search our souls even more deeply to find our power and
purpose, and to
live it. Frustrations
tell us that our thoughts and actions
are not yet in harmony with our desires.

One of the things that adds tension to our
lives is small frustrations. Losing
car keys can give you a panic attack. Not being able to
find a comb when
you get out of the shower, losing scissors and nail clippers,
can make you
fight with your roommate. The problem is that we think
that these things
are not supposed to happen to us. And that's what makes
us tense. We
think we can avoid these frustrations by making ourselves and
others be more
careful. I like to take the opposite tack--to assume
that these things are a
part of life and that they will happen no matter what.

Our
frustration is greater when we have much and want more
than when we have nothing and want some. We are less
dissatisfied when we lack many things than when we
seem to lack but one thing.
Eric Hoffer |

Forget
perfect on the first try. In the face of
frustration, your best tool is a few deep breaths, and
remembering that you can do anything once you've
practiced two hundred times.

As
common sense and initiative becomes less common in
Australia,
I tend to advise people frustrated by feeling
surrounded by ineptness
and mediocrity that they should instead try thinking of it
as "I am a
genius amongst zombies," when I tell people this
they look really very suddenly relieved.

It’s a lack of clarity
that creates chaos and frustration.
Those emotions are poison to any living goal.
Steve Maraboli

People
who fail to achieve their goals usually get stopped by
frustration.
They allow frustration to keep them from taking
the necessary actions
that would support them in achieving
their desire. You get through this
roadblock by plowing
through frustration, taking each setback as
feedback you can
learn from, and pushing ahead. I doubt you'll find
many
successful people who have not experienced this. All
successful
people learn that success is buried on the other
side of frustration.
Tony Robbins

Frustration is commonly the difference
between what you would like to
be and what you are willing to sacrifice to become what you
would like to be.

In my
experience, anger and frustration are the result of you not
being
authentic somewhere in your life or with someone in your life.
Being
fake about anything creates a block inside of you. Life
can’t
work for you if you don’t show up as you.
Jason Mraz |

Fears,
indecision, and frustration feed on words. Without words they
usually stop. . . . Words are at times good for looking back,
but
they are confining when I need to act in the present.

I've
come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were
actually laying the foundation for the understandings that
have
created the new level of living I now enjoy.

People
need trouble--a little frustration to sharpen the spirit on, toughen it.
Artists do; I don't mean you need to live in a rat hole or gutter,
but you have to learn fortitude, endurance.
William Faulkner

Success
is not built on success. It's built on failure.
It's built on
frustration. Sometimes it's built on catastrophe.
Sumner Redstone

Consult
not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about
your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential.
Concern yourself not
with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still
possible for you to do.
Pope John XXIII

Life
is not an easy matter. . . You cannot live through it without
falling into
frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great
idea which raises
you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of
perfidy and baseness.
Leon Trotsky

Frustration
is the first step toward improvement. I have no
incentive
to improve if I'm content with what I can do and if I'm
completely
satisfied with my pace, distance, and form as a runner.
It's only when
I face frustration and use it to fuel my dedication
that I feel myself moving forward.
John Bingham

If we like what we do,
if we always do our best, then we are really
enjoying life. We are having fun, we don't get bored,
we don't have frustrations.

Maturity is
the ability to think, speak and act your
feelings within the bounds of dignity. The measure
of your maturity is how spiritual you become
during the midst of your frustrations.

Look at the stream,
there are rocks in its way. Does it slam into them
out of
frustration? It simply flows over and around them and
moves
on! Be like the water and you will know what harmony is.

We solidify our
projected reality and endlessly create a world of confusion,
struggle, and limitation. Perhaps the most common experience
of this occurs
when we exaggerate and fantasize the qualities
of something. It leads to
disappointment and frustration when
the object is unattainable, and
disillusionment when its
actual nature shows through the veneer of our fantasy.
Rob Preece |

Meet

Wes Fessler |

Frustration
can be a sign that you've been doing too much, giving too
much,
working too hard, and lost your center. Take some time
to be alone, to be
in nature, and walk or sit quietly for a while and remember to
care
for yourself, pace yourself, and regain your inner peace.
