Your body has natural healing capacities that nobody in the
field of medicine can pretend ultimately to understand.
If you break a bone it will heal itself.  All the doctor does is
make sure the pieces of the bone are properly set back together.

With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.

Not only do you become what you think about, but the world also becomes what you think about. Those who think that the world is a dark place are blind to the light that might illuminate their lives. Those who see the light of the world view the dark spots as merely potential light.

All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about something by blaming him, but you won't succeed in changing whatever it is about you that is making you unhappy.

You'll seldom experience regret for anything that you've done.  It is what you haven't done that will torment you.  The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it. Value your present moments. Using them up in any self-defeating ways means you've lost them forever.

Your teacher might be a child who takes you by the hand and asks you a question that you hadn't considered before, and your answer to the child is your answer to yourself.

Passion is a feeling that tells you: this is the right thing to do. Nothing can stand in my way. It doesn't matter what anyone else says. This feeling is so good that it cannot be ignored. I'm going to follow my bliss and act upon this glorious sensation of joy.

You have everything you need for complete peace and total happiness right now.

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Practice being gentle, respectful and loving toward the life
force in all things. Remind yourself that your efforts do make
a difference, even if you think they are miniscule in
comparison to the magnitude of the problem.

When I chased after money, I never had enough. When I got
my life on purpose and focused on giving of myself and
everything that arrived into my life, then I was prosperous.

Even though you may not think so, it’s quite easy to return to simplicity.
All you have to do is look back in your life to the times when it was simpler,
when you didn’t have to have somebody come in and do all the things you
are paying people to do, when you were more in charge of your life.  That’s
one option, which I personally am exercising more and more these days.

Happiness Is the Way

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, affectionately called the "father of motivation" by his fans, was one of the most widely known and respected people in the field of self-empowerment.  He became a well-known author with his bestselling book, Your Erroneous Zones, and went on to write many other self-help classics, including Meditations for Manifesting, Staying on the Path, Your Sacred Self, Everyday Wisdom, and You'll See It When You Believe It.

Despite his childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer, who had a doctorate in counseling psychotherapy, overcame many obstacles to make his dreams come true.He spent much of his time showing others how to do the same. His Hay House titles include: Secrets of Your Own Healing Power, Wisdom of the Masters, Creating Your World the Way You Really Want It to Be, with Deepak Chopra, and How to Get What You Really, Really, Really, Really Want.

Wayne passed away in 2015.

Yes, life can be mysterious and confusing--but there's much of life that's actually rather dependable and reliable.  Some principles apply to life in so many different contexts that they can truly be called universal--and learning what they are and how to approach them and use them can teach us some of the most important lessons that we've ever learned.
My doctorate is in Teaching and Learning.  I use it a lot when I teach at school, but I also do my best to apply what I've learned to the life I'm living, and to observe how others live their lives.  What makes them happy or unhappy, stressed or peaceful, selfish or generous, compassionate or arrogant?  In this book, I've done my best to pass on to you what I've learned from people in my life, writers whose works I've read, and stories that I've heard.  Perhaps these principles can be a positive part of your life, too!
Universal Principles of Living Life Fully.  Awareness of these principles can explain a lot and take much of the frustration out of the lives we lead.
