God Loves You
Joe Mazzella

It is so wonderful knowing that you are loved in this life.  A soul that knows that it is loved has little trouble loving as well.  The soul, in fact, hungers for love.  We all want to be loved.  We want to be loved by our parents.  We want to be loved by our brothers and sisters.  We want to be loved by our friends and family.  We want to be loved by our husbands and wives.  We want to be loved by our children.  We want to be loved by everyone.

It is a lack of love more than anything else that causes so many problems in this world.  If we all loved each other, there would be no war.  How can you kill someone you truly love?  There would be no starvation either.  How can you let someone you love go hungry?  There would also be no abused children.  How can you hurt someone you love?  There would be no endangered Earth as well.  How can you pollute and damage a planet that you love?

We all need to choose love.  We all need to share love with everyone unconditionally.  We all need to learn to love.  How can we do this?  How can we choose, share, and learn to love?  I think that the first step is to realize that we are loved ourselves.  God loves us all.  It doesn't matter who we are or what we have done.  God still loves us.  God forgives us our mistakes and loves us for who we are.  Even if every other person in the world fails to love us, God doesn't.

God's love is eternal.  It never wavers, never lessens, and never ends.  All we have to do is open our hearts and accept it.  God's love is always there and is always unconditional.

Know that you are loved then.  Know that God loves you.  With God's love in your heart you can love as well.  You can choose love, share love, and learn to love more each day.  You can help to bring this world and all who live in it to the love they so desperately need.

Yes, life can be mysterious and confusing--but there's much of life that's actually rather dependable and reliable.  Some principles apply to life in so many different contexts that they can truly be called universal--and learning what they are and how to approach them and use them can teach us some of the most important lessons that we've ever learned.
My doctorate is in Teaching and Learning.  I use it a lot when I teach at school, but I also do my best to apply what I've learned to the life I'm living, and to observe how others live their lives.  What makes them happy or unhappy, stressed or peaceful, selfish or generous, compassionate or arrogant?  In this book, I've done my best to pass on to you what I've learned from people in my life, writers whose works I've read, and stories that I've heard.  Perhaps these principles can be a positive part of your life, too!
Universal Principles of Living Life Fully.  Awareness of these principles can explain a lot and take much of the frustration out of the lives we lead.
